Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra has passed away. Multiple Indian news outlets report that he died in Mumbai on 24 November 2025 at the age of 89, after recent health complications and hospitalisation for breathing issues.
What happened recently
Dharmendra had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai in late October and early November 2025 for respiratory problems and was in intensive care under close medical supervision. He was discharged around 11–12 November to continue treatment at home, with his family stating at that time that he was stable and recovering.
On 24 November 2025, he passed away in Mumbai from age‑related ailments, according to major Indian media and police sources at the cremation ground. His last rites were performed the same day at the Pawan Hans crematorium, and tributes have been pouring in from across the film industry and political circles, marking his death as a major loss to Indian cinema.
