Yosemite National Park covers approximately 759,620 acres, which is about 1,187 square miles or nearly 1,200 square miles. Almost 95 percent of the park is designated wilderness. This vast area includes mountainous scenery, high cliffs, deep valleys, waterfalls, giant sequoias, and over 800 miles of trails. Yosemite's size is roughly equivalent to the land area of Rhode Island, and over 900 Central Parks could fit inside it.
