Snapchat’s “Wrapped” style feature is usually called Snap Recap or Snapchat Recap/Year in Review. It only appears around the end of the year and only on accounts that are eligible.
Basic steps in the app
- Open Snapchat and make sure the app is updated to the latest version in the App Store or Google Play.
- From the main camera screen, swipe up to open Memories; if you’re eligible, you should see a highlighted card like “Your 2024 Snap Recap” or similar at the top.
- Tap that recap card to watch it, then you can save it to Memories, download it, or share it to friends and Story.
Alternate recap access
- Around recap time, some users also get a banner/button in Memories or a pop‑up on the main screen saying their recap is ready; tapping it opens the same year‑in‑review.
- On some recent versions, going to a special link like snapchat.com/recap on your phone can prompt you to open your recap in the app if it’s available for your account.
If you don’t see it
- Make sure Snapchat is fully updated, then force‑close and reopen the app and check Memories again.
- Not every account gets a recap; you usually need to have used Memories a fair bit during the year, and if your recap is still “coming soon” there’s no way to manually generate it.
“Wrapped” vs Memories
- Outside of the year‑end recap, you can still view grouped “wrapped” style memories (by month, week, etc.) by opening Memories from the camera screen; Snapchat automatically bundles Snaps into sections you can tap to watch.
- These ongoing bundles are separate from the official yearly Snap Recap, but work similarly as highlight reels of your saved Snaps.
