Toto, the monkey, came to grandfather's private zoo because the grandfather saw Toto tied to a feeding trough while in the captivity of a tonga driver. Feeling sympathetic and believing that his private zoo would be a better place for the monkey, the grandfather decided to buy Toto for five rupees from the tonga driver. He wanted to give Toto a better environment than captivity under the tonga driver and thought Toto would be a delightful addition to his private collection of animals.
