Breastfed babies usually poop quite frequently in their first weeks. In the first 6 weeks, they often poop between 3 to 6 times a day, sometimes even more frequently, such as after each feeding. However, some breastfed babies may poop less often or even go several days without pooping because breast milk is digested differently. After 6 weeks, it is common for the pooping frequency to decrease to about once a day or even once every few days. As long as the baby is growing well, feeding normally, and the poop is soft, less frequent pooping is not usually a concern.
