To cancel an Xbox Game Pass subscription, there are two main ways: using a web browser on PC or directly on the Xbox console.
- On PC via web browser:
- Visit account.microsoft.com and sign in with the Microsoft account linked to the Xbox.
- Go to the "Subscriptions" section.
- Find the Xbox Game Pass subscription and click "Manage."
- Click "Cancel Subscription" and confirm cancellation on the next page.
- Your subscription will stop auto-renewing but remain active until the current period ends.
- On an Xbox console:
- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
- Go to Profile & system > Settings > Account > Subscriptions.
- Select the Xbox Game Pass subscription.
- Choose "Turn off recurring billing" to stop auto-renewal or "Cancel subscription" to cancel immediately (which may redirect to finalize cancellation online).
- Subscription benefits continue until the end of the paid period.
In both cases, cancelling stops future charges but keeps access until the subscription naturally expires.
