Steps to Change Mobile Number in Aadhaar Card

Book Appointment Online (Optional):
Visit the UIDAI website, navigate to ‘My Aadhaar’ > ‘Get Aadhaar’ > ‘Book an Appointment.’ Enter your location and other details, select the service for mobile number update, and choose an appointment date and time. -
Visit Aadhaar Seva Kendra:
Go to the selected Aadhaar Enrolment Centre or Seva Kendra on the appointment date. -
Fill Update Form:
At the centre, fill out the Aadhaar update/correction form mentioning your new mobile number. -
Biometric Authentication:
Authenticate your identity using biometric verification at the centre. -
Fee Payment:
Pay Rs. 50 as the service charge. -
Acknowledgement and Update Status:
You will receive an acknowledgment slip with an Update Request Number (URN). Use this URN to track the update status online on the UIDAI website. The update usually takes around 30 days to reflect.
Important Notes
- The mobile number update cannot be done entirely online without visiting the enrolment centre.
- No documents other than your Aadhaar card are required for mobile number update.
- You do not need the old mobile number to update to a new one.
