To change the region in a Nintendo account, follow these steps:
- Go to the Nintendo Account website and sign in to your account.
- Select "User Information" or "User Info."
- In the "Profile" section, find and select "Change" next to the country/region field.
- Choose the desired country or region from the dropdown menu.
- Select "Save changes."
- Read the information about changing your country/region and select "I agree" to confirm.
Important notes:
- You may need to spend any remaining Nintendo eShop balance before changing the region.
- Cancel any active subscriptions or pre-orders, as these can prevent changing the region.
- The eShop balance does not carry over when the region is changed, so remaining funds should be used beforehand.
This procedure applies to individual accounts; for child accounts within a family group, changing the family group admin's region will also update the children's settings automatically.
