To connect Alexa to a Samsung Smart TV, follow these steps:
- On your Samsung Smart TV, press the Smart Hub button on your remote.
- Navigate to Settings > General > Voice > Alexa.
- Select Amazon Alexa as your voice assistant.
- You will see a QR code on the TV screen. Scan it with your smartphone to sign into your Amazon account.
- Alternatively, you can sign in manually via the internet link shown on the TV.
- Once signed in, enable Alexa voice control either by pressing the microphone button on your remote or by enabling the hands-free option.
- Use Alexa voice commands to control your TV, such as turning it on/off or opening apps.
If your Samsung TV does not have Alexa built-in, you can still control it with Alexa through another Alexa device (like Echo) by linking your TV through the SmartThings app and enabling the SmartThings Alexa skill in the Alexa app on your phone. This process works for many Samsung TV models from 2020 and newer, including Neo QLED, QLED, Crystal UHD, OLED, and more.
