To make fluffy slime, follow this common recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2/3 cup white school glue (Elmer's glue works well)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 to 3 cups shaving cream (the more shaving cream, the fluffier the slime)
- 1.5 tablespoons contact lens solution (must contain boric acid and sodium borate)
- Food coloring (optional)
Instructions:
- Pour the white glue into a bowl.
- Add the water and baking soda to the glue and mix well.
- Add the shaving cream and mix thoroughly until smooth and puffy.
- Add food coloring to the mixture if desired, and stir until the color is even.
- Slowly add the contact lens solution while stirring. The mixture will begin to form slime.
- Knead the slime with your hands for about 5 minutes. Add the remaining contact lens solution for the right consistency if needed. The slime will be sticky at first but should become less sticky as it gets kneaded.
- If the slime is still sticky, you can add a little baby oil or lotion to your hands to reduce stickiness.
The slime should be fluffy, soft, and fun to play with. Store it in an airtight container to keep it from drying out. Note that fluffiness tends to reduce after the first day but the slime remains playable.
