To strikethrough text in Google Docs, highlight the text you want to cross out, then either:
- Use the menu by clicking on Format > Text > Strikethrough.
- Or use the keyboard shortcut:
- On Windows: press Alt + Shift + 5
- On Mac: press Command + Shift + X
This will apply a horizontal line through the selected text. To remove the strikethrough, use the same menu option or keyboard shortcut again. On mobile, highlight the text, tap the Format icon (looks like an "A"), then tap Text and select Strikethrough.
