To tag someone on Facebook, you can do it either in a post or in a photo. On both desktop and mobile, the most common methods are:
- When creating a post, start typing your status and use the "@" symbol followed immediately by the person's name (no spaces). A dropdown menu will appear where you can select the correct person to tag. Then finish your post and click "Post."
- Alternatively, when writing a post, click or tap the "Tag Friends" icon, then search for and select the friends you want to tag. Confirm by clicking "Done" and then post.
- For photos, after uploading, you can click or tap the photo, then click the tag icon. Then click on the person in the photo and type their name to tag them.
