Ed Gein is known for being an American criminal infamous for murder, grave robbing, and creating macabre items from human body parts. He was arrested in 1957 after police found on his Wisconsin farm a decapitated body and numerous human remains, including skulls and masks made from human skin. He confessed to killing two women and exhuming corpses to make furniture and clothing out of skin.
