Marshawn Lynch first retired on February 7, 2016, which was the day of Super Bowl 50. He then came out of retirement in 2017 to play for his hometown team, the Oakland Raiders. After two seasons with the Raiders, he retired for the second time in 2019 and has not played since then, although he briefly reunited with the Seahawks for their last regular-season game and playoff run in 2019 before retiring for good.
