when is the nj governor election

The New Jersey governor election is scheduled for November 4, 2025. Early in- person voting will be available from October 25 to November 2, 2025. The newly elected governor will be sworn in on January 20, 2026, succeeding the term- limited current governor Phil Murphy. The primary election was held earlier on June 10, 2025.
