when was empower field built

Empower Field at Mile High was built between August 17, 1999, and completed in 2001. It officially opened on August 11, 2001. The stadium was constructed to replace the older Mile High Stadium and serves as the home for the Denver Broncos. The project had a construction cost of around $400.7 million and was designed by HNTB Architects and built by Turner/Empire/Alvarado Construction.
