Aditya-L1 was launched by ISRO on September 2, 2023. It reached and was inserted into its final halo orbit around the Sun-Earth L1 point on January 6, 2024, about 1.5 million kilometers from Earth. The transit took approximately 4 months from launch to arrival at the L1 point, where it now continuously studies the Sun's atmosphere without interruption from eclipses or occultations.
