The Constitutional Convention took place in the Pennsylvania State House, which was later renamed Independence Hall, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It convened from May 25 to September 17, 1787. This historic convention was initially intended to revise the Articles of Confederation but instead led to the creation of the United States Constitution.
