Slimes in Minecraft Bedrock Edition spawn in two main places relevant to bedrock level:
- Slime chunks underground below Y=40: In these special chunks, slimes spawn regardless of light level or moon phase.
- Swamp and mangrove swamp biomes between Y=51 and Y=69: Slimes spawn here only under specific conditions, including moon phase (most during full moon, none during new moon), light level 7 or less, and a clear 3x2.1x3 block space.
Therefore, slimes spawn underground in slime chunks below bedrock level Y=40 and in swamp surface biomes slightly above bedrock level in the Y=51-69 range under certain conditions.
