The Washington Commanders play their home games at Northwest Stadium, located in Landover, Maryland, about 5 miles east of Washington, D.C. The stadium opened in 1997 and was previously known as Jack Kent Cooke Stadium and FedExField before being renamed Northwest Stadium in 2024. The stadium currently seats around 64,000 fans. There are plans underway to build a new stadium for the Commanders at the historic RFK Stadium site in Washington, D.C., with a target to move there possibly by 2030, pending approval from the D.C. Council. Until then, the Commanders continue to play their home games at Northwest Stadium in Maryland.
