Charlie Kirk was shot on the rooftop of a building at Utah Valley University (UVU) in Orem, Utah. The shooting occurred during an outdoor event in the university's courtyard area known as the "quad." The shooter fired from a rooftop position several stories above where Kirk was speaking, specifically identified as the roof of the Losee Center building, which overlooks the quad where the event took place. Kirk was hit in the neck and then transported to a local hospital in Orem, Utah.
