Provo is a city located in Utah County, in the state of Utah, United States. It is about 43 to 45 miles south of Salt Lake City along the Wasatch Front, situated between the cities of Orem to the north and Springville to the south. Provo lies on the eastern bank of Utah Lake in Utah Valley at an elevation of approximately 4,549 feet (1,387 meters). It is the county seat of Utah County and is known for being home to Brigham Young University (BYU) as well as the largest Missionary Training Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
