The original "Friday the 13th" (1980) was filmed primarily in New Jersey, in and around the towns of Hardwick, Blairstown, and Hope in Warren County. The iconic Camp Crystal Lake scenes were shot at a working Boy Scout camp called Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco in Hardwick Township. Other notable locations include the Blairstown Diner in Blairstown, New Jersey, and various scenes around the towns and nearby areas such as Walnut Street and High Street in Hope, New Jersey. The filming took place mostly from September to October 1979.
