Charlie Kirk (Charles James Kirk) was an American right-wing conservative political activist, author, and media personality. Born on October 14, 1993, he co-founded the conservative organization Turning Point USA (TPUSA) in 2012 and served as its executive director. Kirk was also CEO of Turning Point Action and a member of the Council for National Policy. He was a prominent voice in the populist MAGA movement and advocated for Christian nationalism within the Republican Party. Kirk was known for his far-right views, opposition to gun control, abortion, and LGBTQ rights, as well as his promotion of conspiracy theories such as the Great Replacement and claims of 2020 electoral fraud. He hosted "The Charlie Kirk Show," a conservative talk radio program, and was a strong ally of Donald Trump. Tragically, Charlie Kirk was shot and killed on September 10, 2025, while speaking at a TPUSA event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. The suspect, Tyler Robinson, was arrested shortly after the incident. Overall, Kirk was a highly influential and controversial figure within American conservative politics, particularly among young conservatives and MAGA supporters.
