who is egg in dunk and egg

Egg in "Dunk and Egg" is actually Aegon V Targaryen, who later becomes the King of Westeros. He is the young squire of Ser Duncan the Tall (nicknamed Dunk), and although he initially appears as a common boy, his true identity as a member of the royal Targaryen family is a well-guarded secret. Egg's real name comes from the way Aegon is pronounced ("Egg-on"), and he travels with Dunk on various adventures prior to his reign as king, many years before the events of "Game of Thrones".
