The original creator of "Who Made Me a Princess" is Plutus, who wrote the South Korean web novel. The story was then adapted into a manhwa (Korean comic/webtoon) format by the artist Spoon. There has not been a traditional Japanese TV anime adaptation yet. However, a Chinese animated television series adaptation produced by Colored Pencil Animation is set to be released in 2025 with a Japanese dub premiering in September 2025. This adaptation is not a Japanese studio production but a Chinese studio project with Japanese language options available.
