Burn colors
Burns most commonly appear red or pink with first-degree (superficial) burns. Deeper burns can look white, yellow, brown, or black depending on the depth and tissue damage.
Why not blue, orange, or yellow?
Blue, orange, and yellow more often describe flame colors, not the color of burned skin. In clinical descriptions of skin burns, white is a recognized possible color, especially in more severe burns.
