The Royal Adelaide Show is an annual carnival and agricultural show held at the Adelaide Showground in Wayville, Adelaide. The 2025 event takes place from August 30 to September 7, celebrating 100 years at the Showgrounds with special attractions like the Southern Lights Spectacular, a drone and pyrotechnics show. The event features agricultural competitions, rides, entertainment including shows like Bluey and Peppa Pig, food stalls, and the famous showbags. It attracts up to half a million people annually and includes competitive entries in livestock, pets, food and beverage, junior competitions, individual talents, and entertainment. The Royal Adelaide Show is South Australia's largest and longest-running event, mixing fun, food, history, and country-city connections. It is organized by the Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of South Australia. The show returned in 2022 after a COVID-19 hiatus, and the 2025 edition includes over 85 exhibitions and more than 100 free things to see and do. The event is held at the Adelaide Showground, Wayville, a purpose-built venue since 1925.
