Ajay Bhatt, an Indian-origin engineer, is best known for co-developing the Universal Serial Bus (USB), a technology that nearly everyone uses daily. USB revolutionized how devices connect to computers by providing a single, standard interface for peripherals like printers, keyboards, and external drives, replacing the previously complex and incompatible array of connectors
. The idea for USB came from Bhatt's personal frustration when his family struggled to connect devices and print documents easily. He envisioned a universal, simple solution that would allow multiple devices to connect through one port, making technology more accessible and user-friendly
