Benadryl® Extra Strength Itch Stopping Cream is a topical analgesic that provides relief from itching and pain associated with various skin irritations. The cream contains the following active ingredients and inactive ingredients:

Active ingredients:
- Diphenhydramine hydrochloride 2%: a topical analgesic that helps relieve itching and pain.
- Zinc acetate 0.1%: a skin protectant that helps soothe and protect the skin.

- Cetyl alcohol: a fatty alcohol that acts as an emollient and emulsifier.
- Diazolidinyl urea: a preservative that helps prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi.
- Methylparaben: a preservative that helps prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi.
- Polyethylene glycol monostearate 1000: an emulsifier and surfactant.
- Propylene glycol: a humectant and solvent.
- Propylparaben: a preservative that helps prevent the growth of bacteria and fungi.
- Purified water: a solvent.
The cream is for external use only and should not be used on large areas of the body or with any other product containing diphenhydramine, even if taken by mouth. Some of the skin irritations that can be relieved by Benadryl® Extra Strength Itch Stopping Cream include:
