Cats can eat fried chicken only in small amounts and occasionally, but it is not recommended as a regular or substantial part of their diet. The chicken should have the skin and bones removed, as fried chicken skin contains high levels of grease, fat, and salt, and cooked bones can splinter and pose choking and internal injury risks. Additionally, fried chicken often contains seasoning such as onion or garlic powder, which can be toxic to cats. Plain cooked chicken without spices, skin, or bones is a much safer option for cats. Feeding fried chicken too often or in large quantities can cause digestive upset, obesity, and other health issues in cats.
