Cats can have Greek yogurt in small amounts, provided it is plain and unsweetened. Greek yogurt contains less lactose than regular milk and yogurt, making it generally more tolerable for most adult cats, many of whom are lactose intolerant. It also has probiotic benefits and is rich in protein and nutrients beneficial in moderation. However, it should only be given as an occasional treat, not a regular part of the diet, and any adverse reactions such as stomach upset or diarrhea should lead to discontinuing it. Flavored yogurts and those with additives or artificial sweeteners (like xylitol) must be avoided as they can be harmful or toxic to cats.
