Dogs cannot get lice from humans because lice are species-specific parasites. Human lice infest only humans and cannot survive on dogs, and similarly, dog lice infest only dogs and cannot live on humans. Therefore, dogs do not get lice from humans, nor do humans get lice from dogs. Lice transmission occurs within the same species, such as among dogs themselves, typically through direct contact or shared grooming tools. So, if a human has lice, it will not transfer to a dog.
