Pets can get lice, but the lice that infest pets are species-specific and different from human lice. Human lice cannot infest or be transmitted to pets, and pets cannot transmit their lice to humans. Lice are adapted to live on specific hosts, so lice found on humans cannot survive on pets, and vice versa.
