Carlo Acutis (1991-2006) was an Italian Catholic teenager known for his deep devotion to the Eucharist and his pioneering use of digital media to promote Catholic faith. Born in London and raised in Milan, he was a computer programmer who created a website documenting Eucharistic miracles. He died at 15 from leukemia and was beatified in 2020 and canonized as a saint on September 7, 2025. He is often called the "patron saint of the Internet" and the "first millennial saint" due to his use of technology in his faith life. Carlo's cause for sainthood advanced after two miracles were attributed to his intercession, one involving a healing in Brazil and another in Italy. He is remembered for his inspiring religious devotion despite his young age and brief life.
