Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck while speaking at an outdoor event at Utah Valley University (UVU) in Orem, Utah. The shot came from a gunman positioned on the roof of a campus building approximately 100 yards away. He was rushed to Timpanogos Regional Hospital but was later pronounced dead. The shooting occurred during Kirk's appearance at the UVU Fountain Courtyard, part of his American Comeback Tour, on September 10, 2025, around 12:23 PM Mountain Time.
