Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck while speaking at an event held at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. The shooting occurred during his "American Comeback Tour" event, as he was seated beneath a tent in an outdoor courtyard known as the "quad." The gunshot reportedly came from the roof of the Losee Center, a building approximately 130 to 200 yards away from where Kirk was speaking. He was hit by a single bullet to the neck and was bleeding heavily before he was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
