Chris McCausland is an English actor and comedian born on June 15, 1977. He is known for his role as Rudi in the CBeebies show "Me Too!" and for his stand-up comedy across the UK and internationally. McCausland is blind due to retinitis pigmentosa. He won the 22nd series of BBC's "Strictly Come Dancing" in 2024 with professional dancer Dianne Buswell, marking him as the first blind contestant on the show. Additionally, he has appeared on numerous TV shows including "EastEnders," "Would I Lie to You?," and "Have I Got News for You," and has hosted his own Saturday morning chat show "The Chris McCausland Show" on ITV1. He started his comedy career in 2003 and has been recognized with awards such as the Creative Diversity Award for comedy by a Channel 4-led panel in 2011. Aside from comedy, he has worked as an actor in TV dramas and promos, and has written for television. He also presented a travelogue series titled "The Wonders of the World I Can't See" in 2023. His autobiography is scheduled for release in October 2025.
