Christa Pike is an American convicted murderer who, at age 18, tortured and murdered her classmate Colleen Slemmer in Tennessee in 1995. Pike, along with her then-boyfriend Tadaryl Shipp and friend Shadolla Peterson, lured Slemmer to an isolated location, where Slemmer was beaten, slashed, and a pentagram was carved into her chest. Pike ultimately killed Slemmer by smashing her skull with a large chunk of asphalt and even kept a piece of Slemmer's skull as a macabre keepsake. Pike was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to death, becoming the youngest adult woman in the U.S. to be sentenced to death during the post-Furman period. She remains the only woman on Tennessee's death row and is scheduled for execution in 2026. The motive for the crime was a romantic rivalry, as Pike believed Slemmer was trying to steal her boyfriend.
