Cats can see colors, but their color vision is limited compared to humans. They see the world in muted tones mainly of blues, yellows, greens, and grays. Cats cannot distinguish reds and pinks well, which may appear as gray or confusing shades to them. Their eyes have fewer cone cells responsible for color perception, which narrows the range of colors they can see, but they have more rod cells for better night vision and motion detection.
