TikTok allows you to see who viewed your profile, but with important limitations and conditions. To access this feature, you must:
- Be at least 16 years old.
- Have fewer than 5,000 followers.
- Enable the "Profile view history" setting in your privacy settings.
When enabled, you can see a list of accounts that have viewed your profile in the past 30 days, but only those accounts that also have the feature turned on will appear. If someone has this setting off or does not meet the criteria, they can view your profile anonymously without being shown to you. Likewise, if you turn this feature on, others will also be able to see when you view their profiles
. The feature is off by default and can be toggled on or off at any time through:
- Your profile settings: Profile > Menu (☰) > Settings and privacy > Privacy > Profile views > Profile view history toggle.
- Your inbox notifications related to profile views.
- The profile views page itself
If you turn off the profile view history, you won't see who viewed your profile, and others won't see that you viewed theirs
. In summary, TikTok does tell you who viewed your profile only if you meet the age and follower requirements and have enabled the profile view history feature. Otherwise, profile views remain anonymous
