Gaston is the main antagonist in Disney's "Beauty and the Beast." He is an arrogant and ruthless hunter whose unrequited love for Belle drives him to villainous actions, including attempting to kill the Beast. Gaston is physically handsome but emotionally and morally flawed, embodying hypermasculinity and chauvinism. Gaston’s sidekick is LeFou, whose name means "the fool" in French. LeFou is a bumbling but loyal companion who often ends up mistreated by Gaston but sticks by him.
