The horses in Ghost of Yotei come in three main options: white, black, and mottled gray (also called dapple). If the Digital Deluxe Edition is present, there is also a brown horse. The choice of horse is purely cosmetic with no mechanical differences in speed or handling among them. Once picked, the horse will stay with you for the entire game, so the decision is permanent. In addition to choosing the horse's color, players can also select a name from three options: Shimaki (Tornado), Mochizuki (Full Moon), or Homura (Flame).
