Chester Zoo covers an area of approximately 130 acres (51 hectares) and has a total land holding of about 400 acres (160 hectares). Within the zoo, the zoological garden itself spans around 110 to 130 acres, making it one of the UK's largest zoos. The zoo is home to more than 30,000 animals and over 500 species, and its grounds include various habitats and conservation areas.
