Walt Disney World covers an area of about 25,000 to 27,000 acres, which is roughly 39 to 43 square miles. This area is roughly the same size as the city of San Francisco or about twice the size of Manhattan. Within this expansive resort, there are four major theme parks, two water parks, over 25 hotels, golf courses, and shopping districts. The four main parks vary in size, with Animal Kingdom being the largest at around 500-580 acres, followed by Epcot at about 300 acres, Hollywood Studios at around 150 acres, and Magic Kingdom at approximately 140 acres. About half of the land is used for parks, resorts, and attractions, while the rest includes wetlands and conservation areas allowing for potential future expansion.
