Lake Mead has a maximum depth of about 532 feet (162 meters) at full capacity. However, due to recent drought and water usage, the current maximum depth is less and has been around 400 feet (122 meters) in recent years. The deepest point ever recorded was about 590 feet (180 meters) below the water's surface in the early 1980s when the lake was at its maximum capacity.
