Its tunnels are bored on average about 40 to 45 meters below the seabed. The tunnel runs between Folkestone in the UK and Coquelles near Calais in France, spanning a total length of approximately 50.5 kilometers (31 miles), with 37.9 kilometers (23.5 miles) of that underwater.
