Lord Krishna died 36 years after the Kurukshetra War, at the age of 89. During a festival, the Yadava clan, whom Krishna belonged to, got into a deadly fight and killed each other due to arrogance and conflict. After this, Krishna went into meditation under a pipal tree in a forest. A hunter named Jara, mistaking Krishna's moving foot for a deer, shot a lethal arrow hitting his left foot. Realizing his mistake, the hunter begged for forgiveness, which Krishna granted, explaining that his death was destined and part of karmic consequences from a previous life. Krishna's death marks the beginning of the Kaliyuga era. This event took place near Bhalka, close to the Somnath temple. After Krishna's death, his Yadava clan essentially ended, and his kingdom of Dwarka was said to be flooded shortly after.
