To block calls on your iPhone, you can follow these steps:
- Open the Phone app on your iPhone.
- Tap the "Recents" tab at the bottom to see recent calls.
- Find the phone number or contact you want to block and tap the "i" (info) icon next to it.
- Scroll down and tap "Block Caller."
- Confirm by tapping "Block Contact."
Once blocked, you will no longer receive calls, messages, or FaceTime calls from that number or contact. The blocked caller won't be notified that they have been blocked
. Additional options to manage unwanted calls include:
- Turning on Silence Unknown Callers : This sends calls from numbers not in your contacts, recent calls, or Siri Suggestions directly to voicemail without ringing your phone. You can enable this by going to Settings > Phone > Silence Unknown Callers and turning it on
- Using Call Blocking & Identification: In Settings > Phone > Call Blocking & Identification, you can enable features like Business Call Identification, Silence Junk Callers (to silence calls identified as spam by your carrier), or use third-party call identification apps to help identify and block spam calls
- To unblock a contact, go to Settings > Phone > Blocked Contacts, tap Edit, then tap the red minus button next to the contact and select Unblock
These methods help you block specific numbers or reduce unwanted calls from unknown or spam callers effectively on your iPhone.
