To know if someone has blocked you on WhatsApp, you can look for several signs as WhatsApp does not notify users directly when they are blocked:
- You can't see the contact's Last Seen or Online status in the chat window. However, this can also happen if the contact has changed their privacy settings to hide this information from everyone.
- Messages sent to the person show only one gray checkmark (message sent) but never a second checkmark (message delivered). Still, this alone could mean other issues like the contact's phone being off or no internet connection.
- You no longer see updates to the contact's profile photo, or their profile picture disappears.
- Trying to add the contact to a WhatsApp group results in an error or the contact doesn't appear in the group participants if added.
- Calling the contact on WhatsApp does not ring through.
These signs combined usually indicate that you might have been blocked, but none is definitive on its own because of privacy settings and other technical factors.
